White Wash Bench

My Husband built me this beautiful bench for our front entrance which I painted in a white wash finish.
It turned out so lovely, I can't wait to show you the whole entrance makeover!
For the white wash paint:
1 cup paint
2 cups water
Brush paint on, and wipe with clean dry cloth to desired look.
Mine took 2 light coats and lot's of wiping off because I still wanted some wood colour to show :)

DIY painted rug

The other day I was going to buy a new rug, but decided instead to try painting this old one I found in our garage.  I looked on Pinterest and found lots of DIY's for this! I used my drafting triangle like the one below to tape off my pattern, but on Pinterest people also used cardboard cutouts.  It does take a bit of time and is a little tricky but I got the hang of it after a while.  I like how it turned out and it's great because I got to up-cycle something instead of buying a new one :)

DIY painted tee

I just made Mr.Mak this cute little tee.
I used Martha Stewart Fabric medium, along with her Acrylic paint.
When you've mixed the 2 together (read the ratio on bottle) you can paint it on the fabric! Let dry for 24 hours, then heat set it with an iron. I just place another piece if fabric over top of the paint and iron, then flip it inside out and iron over it again.
The possibilities are endless!!!
